Lightweight challenger Ameth Diaz feels very confident as he trains for his upcoming fight against IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez, taking place at the Coliseo Olímpico de la U de G. in Guadalajara, Mexico.  to face mandatory challenger Ameth Diaz of Panama on the 21st of January at the Coliseo Olímpico de la U de G.

Vazquez (29-3-0, 13 KOs) defends his title for the third time against Diaz (30-10-0, 21 KOs), and the fight will be broadcast by TV Azteca. In his most recent bout, last August, Diaz knocked out Lenny Z in the fifth round of a final eliminator.

"I'm going to knock [Vazquez] out. I know that the Mexican has studied my fights and thinks that I'm just going to stick with the right hand, but I honestly tell you that my left hand has put more than four boxers to sleep. I've studied Vasquez and honestly I hope that he stops [moving around the ring] and fights me like a man," Diaz said.
