The entire Montiel family was involved in putting the show together, with trainer/manager Manuel "Cochul" Montiel, and his sons Manuel Jr., Peter, Eduardo and Fernando, putting together the entire show.

"Victor Terrazas is a tough opponent but we chose him because we wanted to present a great fight, because that's what we want to present now that we're promoters with my brothers and my father, and we have taken great pains in selecting an opponent in this division but I know I can beat Terrazas," Montiel said.

Terrazas was clear in stating that he believes the fight will end in a knockout.

"I have seen the errors of Montiel and I imagine there will be knockout in the ring. I will present the best of me, but I assure you that I'm well prepared and I'm going in there to get a knockout," Terrazas said.

In the ten round co-feature, super welterweight veteran Luis Ramon "Yori Boy" Campas and rookie Jorge "Demon" Cota will collide.
