San Juan, Puerto Rico - this Friday, September 9th, Hector "El Flaco" Sanchez (19-1, 9KO's) will face a new challenge at the Grand Casino in Hinckley, Minnesota, when he faces Puerto Rican Vincent Arroyo (11-1, 7KO's) in a ten round fight televised on Showtime as part of their boxing series ShoBox: The New Generation.

But this challenge is nothing for him as he says his biggest challenge is to get his family out of poverty.

"My mom and my family gave everything to me and my responsibility is to help them have a better quality of life. Boxing is an opportunity to earn enough money to give them everything they need and move them away that house, "said Sanchez, a native of Santurce.

Sanchez, born and raised in Barrio Obrero, Puerto Rico, and is the first of four children. In the same neighborhood he developed as a boxer and person. "El Flaco" lives with his mother, grandmother, three brothers, a cousin, a niece and one of his sisters who is are pregnant.

Sanchez said the advice and recommendations received from his trio of promoters Universal Promotions, Gary Shaw Productions and DiBella Entertainment, has helped him achieve his dream.

"I live in a house with three rooms, and one of my sisters will have a baby and that going to complicate the matter. The most important thing for me is that they have everything they need and for that reason I must win this fight and many more. We have suffered enough, although I've been climbing with a dream to get where I want my family to be," said Sanchez.

Before end of 2011, Sanchez will fight again and his trio of promoters Javier Bustillo, Gary Shaw and Lou DiBella, expect the emergence of a title shot before the end of 2012.

"'El Flaco" is a good boy and we will help take places in his career. He has a bright future in boxing and he's is an essential part of the Puerto Rico Boxing Team," said Javier Bustillo, president of Universal Promotions.
