Francisco Palacios (20-1, 13 KO) is convinced that he did more than enough to lift the WBC cruiserweight title from champion Krzysztof Włodarczyk (45-2-1, 32 KO). The fight ended in a split decision loss, with the champion retaining his title on Saturday night Poland. Palacios is placing some of the blame on himself, stating that he made the mistake of allowing the fight to go to the scorecards.

"I am convinced that I won the fight. For sure I did more than "Diablo" and I hit him more times than he hit me. In my opinion, I lost no more than three of the twelve rounds. But I should have never left the decision in the hands of judges. I should have closed the fight ahead of time. I am convinced that if the fight took place in Puerto Rico, or on neutral ground - I'd would have won it," Palacios said.
