Michael Jennings will fight Gary McMillan in a British welterweight title eliminator on March 12 in Glasgow.

The fight will be on the undercard of Ricky Burns' WBO super-featherweight title defence against Joseph Laryea at the Braehead Arena.

Jennings is a former WBO world title challenger, losing to Miguel Cotto, and was recently halted by Kell Brook on a cut.

He still has high hopes of regaining the British title he lost to Young Mutley on a controversial split decision four years ago.

The 33-year-old has only lost three times in nearly 40 fights, and is one of British boxing's most experienced campaigners.

McMillan is far less experienced, with 11 wins and two losses to his name.

He recently won the Scottish Area title, and has a reputation for being an awkward opponent.

The Scotsman will also enjoy home advantage at the Braehead Arena, although he comes from Edinburgh.
