Andre Rozier, the out-spoken and talkative trainer of middleweight contender, Daniel Jacobs (34-2, 29 KOs), made it very clear who he'd like his man to face next.

The veteran coach wants Jacobs to get in the ring with WBO middleweight world champion Billy Joe Saunders (26-0, 12 KOs).

Saunders has been inactive since dominating David Lemieux in December 2017. He withdrew from two scheduled dates with Martin Murray due to injuries.

Saunders' last fight took place on HBO, and Jacobs is under a multi-fight deal with HBO.

"I'm formally calling out BJ Saunders," Rozier stated to BoxingScene.com.

"I want to see BJ Saunders accept this challenge from me to him. When we were in England and he was slated to fight with Avtandil Khurtsidze, he stated that he would run Danny right out of the ring. That's a fight everyone would love to see, BJ Saunders and Danny Jacobs.

"And I would go as far as to say that since he believes he can beat Danny Jacobs, that if we can fight and he does beat Danny - I will give him my portion of the purse."

OK, does Jacobs - who could be facing Sergey Derevyanchenko for the vacant IBF belt - know that his trainer is doing this on his behalf?

Rozier stated with a chuckle - "I'm calling (Saunders) out on MY behalf!! BJ has been hiding that title for so long now that literally BJ says he's a gypsy, well he's wandering around the world with the title and not fighting like a true gypsy. A true gypsy likes to fight and he says he's a gypsy but he's not fighting."

Saunders it seems is waiting for the winner of the September 15th rematch between unified champion, Gennady Golovkin, and Saul Alvarez.

"I would believe he is," agreed Rozier, ''basically he was supposed to fight Martin Murray, he said he had an injury but we all know he was waiting for a deal to fight Triple G but Triple G stiffed him for Canelo - and Martin Murray fought so he has no one in the foreseeable landscape to get busy with - but he can get busy with Danny Jacobs."

Rozier left with one last message - "Where the hell is BJ Saunders?!?! We want him!!"
