Young, undefeated junior lightweight, Ryan Garcia (13-0, 12 KO's) has made it clear that he wants to be put on the fast track by Golden Boy Promotions.

This Thursday night, he faces Fernando Vargas as the headliner on 'the Golden Boy on ESPN' series on ESPN2 from the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.

But he has bigger names in mind.

When asked if there was anybody he'd like to face next, Garcia answered - "I want to fight Gervonta Davis, I don't know why. I just want to fight him. And you know what, even if he doesn't to fight me, I'll keep saying it - I want to fight him.

"And he should fight me now because this is the best chance he's going to have when I'm 19."

Garcia was just entered the world rankings at number 15, in the WBA rankings. His goal is to win a world title by the end of the year.

"All I know is I'm going to stay positive but in the ring I'm so competitive, that's why I fight because I'm competitive," said the brash Garcia.

"I don't have aggression towards nobody, I don't want to literally kill anybody but I'm so competitive that I want to sleep him. So yeah, there it is."

Davis (19-0, 18 KOs), who is promoted by Mayweather Promotions, is a former IBF super featherweight champion. He lost the two on the scale last August, when he failed to make the division limit for a bout with Francisco Fonseca.

The fight went forward, with Davis stopping Fonseca on the Mayweather-McGregor pay-per-view undercard from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

On April 21 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the 23-year-old Davis will battle former champion Jesus Cuellar for the WBA 'regular' super featherweight title in a Showtime televised fight.
