Before a crowd of 7,827 at The Forum in Inglewood, California, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai retained his WBC super flyweight title with an exciting twelve round majority decision over Juan Francisco Estrada on Saturday night.

The Thai champion (44-4-1) controlled the early rounds and withstood a late charge from Mexico's Estrada (36-3) to secure the victory.

Sor Rungvisai won the bout 117-111 and 115-113 on two cards, and a third scored it 114-114.

The contest headlined the second edition of the "Superfly" series - which showcases the top fighters from the super flyweight and flyweight divisions.

The concept for the show was created by Tom Loeffler of 360 Promotions, as a way to push former four division world champion Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez.

But Sor Rungivsai took over the series, when he beat Gonzalez with a close decision in their first meeting and then knocked him out cold in four rounds, in the main event of the first Superfly card in the fall of 2017.

Now Loeffler is already salivating at the idea of matching Sor Rungvisai and Estrada in a rematch. And if Loeffler gets his way, he would like to stage that fight in the fall as the HBO televised main event of Superfly 3.

"I thought this performance warranted a rematch," Loeffler said. "If there's a way we could make a rematch for the fall, it would be tremendous to bring it back to the Forum."

Loeffler has already spoke with HBO, who are very receptive to that idea.

"I've already talked to HBO and they are interested in something in the fall," said Loeffler. "This fight would headline 'Superfly 3.'"

On the undercard, McWilliams Arroyo shocked Carlos Cuadras with a ten round decision win in what the WBC sanctioned as a final eliminator. Arroyo wants to face Sor Rungvisai next, but since the Thai boxer just made his mandatory obligation against Estrada - he will be allowed at one or two voluntary defenses.
