Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall, Las Vegas, NV - Claudio Marrero (22-1) crushed Carlos Zambrano (26-1) seconds into their WBA interim featherweight title fight. A jab followed by a right sent Zambrano to the floor for the full count.

The time of the stoppage was 1:30 of the first round. This was Zambrano's fist fight under the Mayweather Promotions banner. Marrero also captured the vacant IBO title.

Jeison Rosario (12-1) started off strong  as he landed several hard shots that wobbled Nathaniel Gallimore in the first round of their middleweight bout. He was also warned twice for low blows and once for hitting on the break.

The Dominican's good start would be short lived as Gallimore (18-1-1) started to come on in the second round and also had a good third round, landing several solid shots. Both fighters withstood big punches in the fourth and fifth rounds before Gallimore dropped Rosario with a body shot in the 6th round that he could never recover from. He rose to his feet and tried to hold on but was knocked to the canvas two more times before ref Jay waved the bout off at the 2:15 mark.

Local Las Vegan Juan Heraldez (12-0) dropped Alfonso Olvera (8-4-1) just seconds into their welterweight bout in route to a dominant unanimous decision victory.

The Mayweather Promotions fighter simply was too much for his outclassed opponent.  Heraldez really started to put his punches together in the fourth round. Olvera had a few moments in the seventh but wasn't ever able to put together a consistent attack.  He survived some hellacious shots to be able to at least claim a moral victory in going the distance. Heraldez won by the scores of 79-72 and 78-73 twice.

In a battle of once beaten super lightweight prospects, Ladarius "Memphis" Miller (13-1) speed was too much for Jesus Gutierrez (14-2-1).  Gutierrez had trouble catching the elusive Miller who peppered him with a steady jab most of the night.  Gutierrez's best moment of the night came in the seventh when he rocked Miller.

Neither fighter is known for their power and neither appeared in serious danger of being knocked down at any point of the fight until the closing seconds of the eighth and final round.  Miller hit Gutierrez with a blazing fast combination that caused him to hit his head on the turnbuckle as he fell to the canvas and referee Russell Mora immediately waved the fight off.  The time of the stoppage was 2:34.

Former world champion Layla McCarter (39-13-5) dominated Szilvia Szabados (15-10)  from the opening bell in their super lightweight bout.  Szabados was never in the fight and had her mouthpiece knocked out of her mouth midway through the fight.  She was also deducted a point for rabbit punching.  The scorecards became a mute issue after Tony Weeks stopped the action at the :56 mark of the 7th round with Szabados on her feet but badly beaten up.

Unbeaten super middleweight prospect Kevin Newman  (7-0-1) made quick work of Pablo Velez (7-1-1), stopping him at the 2:19 mark of the opening stanza.  Newman was the far more aggressive fighter and set up the stoppage with a nice right uppercut.  Two more straight rights put Velez on the canvas.  Velez rose to his feet on wobbly legs and referee Vic Draculich wisely called a halt to the fight.

The first fight of the evening saw super middleweight Ronald Gavril improve to 18-1 with a second round knockout of DeCarlo Perez (16-6-1).

Lucius Johnson (4-0-1) kept his perfect record intact with his fourth round stoppage of Thomas Hill (6-2) in their super welterweight clash.

Daniel Gonzalez (3-0) of Los Angeles also stayed undefeated with a hard fought unanimous decision victory over Mario Ayala (5-4-1) in their featherweight bout.
