After all of the rumors and dozens of headlines that have circulated for the last two weeks, Leonard Ellerbe, advisor and close friend of Floyd Mayweather Jr., has denied all of media stories that state Floyd is interested in returning to the ring for a rematch with Ricky Hatton and/or a fight with Manny Pacquiao.  He says that neither himself, Mayweather, or Mayweather's manager, Al Haymon, have had any kind of discussions with anyone for a fight with Hatton or Pacquiao.

"I don't know where that came from because no one from our side has spoken with them. I have not spoken with Gareth [Williams, Hatton's lawyer] and I have not spoken with Ray Hatton. Al Haymon hasn't spoken with them, either," Ellerbe told boxing scribe David Mayo.

According to Ellerbe, the teams of both fighters are just using Floyd's name in the media. Some boxing experts speculate that people close to Hatton and Pacquiao are using Mayweather's name as a tool. The teams of Pacquiao and Hatton are preparing to negotiate a possible fight for May in Las Vegas.

"Any time you mention Floyd's name in anything, it's massive. I can understand why people mention Floyd's name. It would be the biggest thing anybody could think about doing. But all I can say is Floyd is enjoying his retirement," Ellerbe said.
