On August 16th (live on ARD) at the Erfurt Exhibition Hall, Yoan Pablo Hernandez (28-1, 14 KO's) will defend his IBF cruiserweight crown against dangerous former champion Firat Arslan (34-7-2, 21 KO's). For Hernandez, this will be his first fight of 2014. He last fought on November 23, 2013 against Alexander Alekseev.

"I had a stomach virus which repeatedly returned, so I could not box. I am happy to fight again, I'm in top shape and my title will not be taken from me," Hernandez says triumphantly.

For Arslan, at 43, it is certainly his last chance to end his career with a world title. At the end of January, he was knocked out in six rounds in his rematch with WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck.

"I want to thank the Sauerland team that once again I am getting a world title opportunity. I will do everything to ensure that the audience will see a great fight. My dream is to once again become a world champion."

An official press conference will take place on July 3 in Erfurt.
