Jay Deas, co-manager of WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs), is hoping his boxer secures all of the remaining titles within the next twelve months.

Anthony Joshua of the UK holds the WBA, IBO, IBF belts, while Joseph Parker is the WBO world champion.

Wilder is without an opponent at the moment. Joshua will return in the fall, either in a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko or a mandatory defense against Kubrat Pulev. And Parker has a mandatory owed to Hughie Fury.

Wilder has been out of the ring since February, when he picked up a knockout victory over late replacement Gerald Washington.

The World Boxing Council had ordered Wilder to make a mandatory defense against Bermane Stiverne in a rematch.Wilder dominated Stiverne to win the title in January 2015.

Wilder, in several interviews, made it clear that he wants to unify the entire division within the next 12 months - which Deas backs. They want the best and biggest opponents possible.

“We don’t know [who the next opponent is]. All we know is we want the biggest fight possible. Whatever the biggest opportunity is, that’s the one that we want to go after. Anything that gets us a unification is what I would like. If that’s not possible then whatever the biggest fight after that, that’s kind of what I’m thinking. I would like there to be within 12 months, like Deontay said, I’d like there to be one name, one face one champion. That will be Deontay Wilder. Whatever steps have to be taken, that’s what we want to do," Deas told the Tuscaloosa News.

“Deontay has been more than patient and he’s ready to fight whatever the biggest fights are. It’s tough because there’s a lot of guys that don’t want to fight him, they price themselves out and then turn around and try to blame (Wilder). But the truth of the matter is that Deontay wants the biggest fights whatever the biggest fights are.”
