So who will WBO super featherweight titlist Vasyl Lomachenko face next?

"I know we're going to be fighting in August, I really don't know when it is but we're still preparing for the fight but I really don't know," said Egis Klimas, who manages the skilled Ukrainian, to BoxingScene.com.

For the time being it looks like Orlando Salido (who defeated Lomachenko in controversial fashion in his second pro fight) is bypassing an opportunity at a rematch.

"I think he just didn't want to fight because as far as I heard money was good, the weight and the date. I don't now but maybe somebody can answer that question to you," stated Klimas.

BoxingScene had recently reported that Salido was being pursued by Mayweather Promotions as the next opponent for IBF champion Gervonta Davis, who is possibly going to appear on the August 26th Showtime Pay-Per-View, which features Floyd Mayweather facing UFC star Conor McGregor in a boxing match.

Just what are the other available - and realistic - options for the time being for Lomachenko (8-1,  KO's) who last fought on April 8th where he stopped Jason Sosa on nine rounds at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland?

"There's a bunch of options, you see that no champions want to fight Lomachenko and he's just going to go and fight whoever's going to come to him in his cycle," Klimas told BoxingScene.com.

"Listen, you can't get champion-to-champion nowadays, all these champions are protected, nobody wants to fight him but there are some people who think they can do something, people who are coming up like (Nicholas) Walters, like Sosa did.

"Listen, there's always going to be somebody who wants to at least try it. So I really don't know because it's the matchmakers doing that, they're making phone calls, whatever it takes."

For the time being Top Rank is looking for dance partners for Lomachenko.

"I was told we didn't have to worry, he's going to be fighting in the month of August and we're patient. You know me, I'm always patient," said Klimas.
