Former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew does not expect Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs) to make it to the eight round with Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) in a heavyweight unification.
Joshua and Parker will stake their undefeated records and battle for the WBO, IBO, WBA, IBF titles.
More than 70,000 tickets have been purchased at Principality Stadium in Cardiff to watch the fight.
Fireworks are expected in the contest, but Bellew doubts it will even come close to Joshua's fight from last April with Wladimir Klitschko - which many saw as the 2017 Fight of The Year.
"I can’t see Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker being anywhere near the fight Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko was. Is it really going to live up to the hype? I don’t think so, but I’ve been wrong before. It will be too hard to match the Klitschko fight, regardless of the fact Joshua is going for a third world title belt," Bellew told Metro.
A lot has been made of Parker's chin, and Bellew wonders himself if the New Zealand star will be able to last until the second half of the fight.
Bellew admits that Joshua will place himself in a lot of danger if the contest continues until the second half - but getting there is the hard part.
Only two boxers have been able to last long than seven rounds with Joshua - Klitschko and Carlos Takam.
Bellew does not expect Parker to become the third boxer to accomplish the same.
"The biggest thing for Parker will be is he durable? A durable heavyweight is a dangerous heavyweight no matter what. If anyone is still there with Joshua after eight, nine rounds then it’s a problem. Anthony likes to load up and get guys out of there, but with that powerful style comes tiredness. It can make it hard for him, and we’ve seen in the second half of his fights recently," Bellew said.
"I’m not sure Parker is durable. He’s been bragging about how he’s got a great chin – that’s the last thing he should be bragging about. Boxing isn’t about how great your chin is, it’s about you don’t touch my chin and I keep hitting yours. If he is as durable as he says he is, then we’re in for a good fight.
"I just don’t see him having the size or the structure to dictate anything against Joshua. He doesn’t have the size to dictate the range of the fight. He doesn’t have the power to dictate the exchanges. In the centre of the ring, with these two guys trading, you just know Joseph Parker is coming off second best. Unless he gets it to eight rounds, but I doubt he can get there."
