Team Gamboa Deny False Reports of Rocky Juarez Fight

by David "Los Gatos" Rosenberg

Sources connected with former champion Yuriorkis Gamboa have reached out to BoxingScene.com to deny published reports regarding a March 2012 catch-weight bout between Gamboa (21-0, 16 KOs) and former Olympian Rocky Juarez (28-9-1, 20 KOs). "The reports are false," the source told BoxingScene. Gamboa is scheduled to return in early 2012, likely as a lightweight, but the opponent and the location are not finalized.
