Teiken Promotions recently announced that Carlos Cuadras, (33-0-1, 26 KOs), the World Boxing Council super flyweight champion, will defend his crown for the fifth time on November 28th at the Xebio Arena in Sendai, Japan against local Koki Eto (17-3-1, 13 KO), the OPBF champion. Ray Beltran Receives Temporary Suspension By NSAC
Perennial lightweight contender Raymundo Beltran was issued a temporary suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission during its monthly agenda hearing Thursday morning in Las Vegas. The suspension stems from a positive drug test for a banned substance after his May 1 win over Takahiro Aoh, also in Las Vegas. The temporary suspension was issued despite a plea from Beltran’s assigned lawyer, David Chesnoff pleading with the commission for a continuance on the commission request, in hopes of fast-forward to a hearing for a full suspension at the next available agenda meeting.

BoxingScene.com first reported on Friday that lightweight/junior welterweight contender Ray Beltran (30-7-1, 18KOs) failed his post-fight drug test, stemming from his second round blowout of Takahiro Ao on May 1st at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. Beltran was set to face Ao for the vacant WBO lightweight title, but failed to make weight and the fight went ahead after a deal was reached between both parties.

At the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the vacant WBO lightweight title will be on the line for only one fighter in the TruTV main event on Friday night, as Ray Beltran was unable to make the division limit after two attempts. He weighed in at 136-pounds and later came back to weigh in at 135.4. Co-challenger Takahiro Ao was 134.8.
