Saul Alvarez: Angulo, Vanes Both Deserve Their Shot
By Chris LaBate
The WBC recently ordered an mandatory eliminator between junior middleweight contenders Alfredo Angulo and Vanes Martirosyan. The winner would face WBC champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, who defends his title against Alfonso Gomez on September 17 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Speaking with BoxingScene.com's Luis Sandoval, Alvarez said the winner deserves his shot at the title.

Whether it's Angulo, Martirosyan, or whoever. My first thing is Alfonso Gomez and then I'll think about the other guys," Alvarez told BoxingScene.com.
