According to reports in Nicaragua, WBC flyweight champion Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (44-0, 37 KOs) will likely return on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin's next fight.

Gonzalez's last two fights were positioned in the co-featured slot of Golovkin's middleweight title defenses.

He knocked out Edgar Sosa in two rounds in May at The Forum in Los Angeles, California. Golovkin appeared in the main even and knocked out Willie Monroe.

On Saturday night, Gonzalez earned a ninth round technical knockout over former two-division world champion Brian "The Hawaiian Punch" Viloria (36-5, 22 KOs). The fight had the honor of taking place on HBO Pay-Per-View from New York's Madison Square Garden. Golovkin was in the main event, knocking out David Lemieux to unify the WBA/IBF/IBO world titles.

The feared one-two punch will continue once again. Gonzalez wants a rematch with Juan Francisco Estrada, who holds the WBA/WBO titles in the weight division. That rematch is not in the cards to take place next, but HBO is very interested in having them face each other during the course of next year.
