Few people believed that Thomas Williams and Edwin Rodríguez were destined to box a dull 12 round affair when they squared off on April 30 at the StubHub Center. Given the styles of both men and their respective power, a knockout was on the cards as soon as the fight was signed. Williams recently spoke to BoxingScene.com from his vacation spot in Puerto Rico, expressing his delight at being able to stop Rodríguez in the second round.

The April 30 primetime edition of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on Fox featured a loaded evening of knockouts in the ring. Unfortunately, it came up short when it came to tallying up viewership. The second installment of the series of free-to-air Fox TV averaged 1.51 million viewers over the course of the two-plus hour telecast, which aired live at 8:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. locally) from the StubHub Center in Carson, Calf. Such ratings are considered preliminary, as Nielsen Media Research has proven that live sports tend to trend upward upon final review.

CARSON, Calif. - It was not the memorable knockdown-filled classic many fight fans remember from over five years ago. But the rematch between Victor Ortiz and Andre Berto did produce a few fireworks of its own on Saturday evening. In the end, Berto was able to avenge his defeat to Ortiz and buy himself one more possible payday. For Ortiz, the future looks a lot more murkier. Berto stopped Ortiz roughly midway through the fourth round before a raucous crowd of 7,760 at the Stubhub Center in this Los Angeles suburb.
