BoxingScene.com has been advised that WBO junior welterweight champion Ruslan Provodnikov (23-2, 16KOs) vs. Chris Algieri (19-0, 8KOs), scheduled for June 14th, is shifting to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The HBO televised event was previously targeted for the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

The Barclays has an exclusive contract with Golden Boy Promotions, who work with HBOs rival Showtime. BoxingScene was told that Barclays reached out to Golden Boy, who gave them the thumbs up to host that event. Neither Provodnikov or Algieri are promoted by Golden Boy's main business rival, Top Rank - but Top Rank will be a co-promoter, with Artie Pelullo and Joe DeGuardia as they have an option on Provodnikov.
