There is a good possibility that WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs) is going to move up in weight to 175-pounds.

Ward, who was inactive since November 2013, returns to the ring on Saturday night at the Oracal Arena in Oakland, California. The fight takes place at catch-weight of 172-pounds against British contender Paul Smith.

Ward is testing the waters with a few more pounds on his body. Right now his home division is up in the air as he doesn't rule out a return to 168 to defend his belt.

Former WBC champion Jean Pascal, who is regarded as one of the top fighters at light heavyweight, would love to welcome Ward to 175-pounds.

"That would be nice for the division. Andre Ward is a great fighter. He’s proved he’s one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world at super middleweight. If he comes to our division, that can only be good for the division. He’s going to have some serious competition between Adonis Stevenson, Sergey Kovalev and myself. It’s going to be very interesting for the fans," Pascal told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.
