Ortiz Vows To Prove He's On Lucas Matthysse's Level
By Salvador Rodriguez
Junior welterweight contender Roberto "Massa" Ortiz (31-0-1, 24KOs) of Mexico is preparing for the biggest fight of his career, a Showtime televised clash with Argentinian puncher Lucas Matthysse (35-3, 33KOs) on September 6th in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ortiz' WBC silver championship will be at stake in the contest. The event will be headlined by Adrien Broner vs. Emmanuel Taylor.
"I feel great. I've been training hard in the gym. This coming week is the last week of sparring, and physical preparation is coming to an end and we are focusing on the development of the strategy," Ortiz said.
"He thinks I'm not a fighter on his level. He thinks perhaps he should be in a bigger fight, but I'm doing a great job in the gym and focused on the physical, technical, even mentally aspect."
"We will be ready to go out there and win, that is our only goal."
Ortiz can also get Garcia'ed that is also an optionComment by Da Machine on 08-24-2014
Ortiz, you got two options, get Dallas'ed or get Molina'ed. Your choice.
I'm pretty sure Mathysse wouldn't want the Molina'd option on the table if it was up to him... Get knocked silly the first could rounds ?…Comment by Tobi.G on 08-24-2014
