I literally think that Ortiz will KO Lucas. He has looked quite chinny. And if he does, watch the Roberto Ortiz Bandwagon on Boxngscene fill up. I won't join it, but I am sure others would. I'm rooting for Ortiz, a victory over Matthysse could open him and his career up to bigger and better things.

The thing about fights like this is that nobody knows how Ortiz will respond to the step up. He has blown away the competition he's faced but Lucas is by far the best fighter he has faced. Some guys handle the step up with no problems like Brook, for others it's too much of a jump like Gary Russell. I expect Matthysse to win it but he is rated high by the WBC, you'd hope it's for good reason

Damn they stay trying to knock Matthysse off with these high risk, low reward fighters. Then again he doesn't know how to carry the easy fights a few extra rounds.

He certainly looks good on tape, but it's against sub par opposition. Skilled, huge for the division, and can punch.

IDK what kind of plan this is by Haymon/GBP but it seems as if they don't care for having Matthysse in the picture.

I believe he will prevail though.

Damn this guy has a nice record, albeit against weak competition, he might score the upset as Matthysse hasn't looked too machine-esque his last two fights.

Ortiz has a good record but I still think that Matthysse is the most experienced and accomplished of both and that is why most likely Lucas would prevail at the end. I am not sure if what happened against Molina is going to be repeated (being dropped twice in the early rounds) maybe it was only a bad night or simply a case of preparing bad thinking wrongly Molina was an easy opponent.

Ortiz, you got two options, get Dallas'ed or get Molina'ed. Your choice.
