WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) feels the boxing public would consider him a heavy favorite over any potential welterweight opponent. His next challenger, Andre Berto, is a massive underdog in their scheduled fight on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather's biggest fight, and by far his most lucrative, was the May 2nd mega-match with Manny Pacquiao.

The Filipino superstar, who captured world titles in eight weight divisions, was given a shot to win and some fans felt he could pull it off, but the majority of the media selected Mayweather to come out on top, which he did by unanimous decision.

After beating Pacquiao, Mayweather says the public views him as being unbeatable at 147-pounds. He felt his last victory proved his belief that Pacquiao was a product of media hype and was never on the same skill level.

"I believe that the public believes can no one beat me. At one particular time I think they believed there was a fighter who could beat me," Mayweather said to Showtime.

"You must realize this - the media, the critics, the people built that kid up to put him on my level. Once again, there will never be a fighter on my level - because you have to be able to go where I go, mentally."

"It's just like in life and it's hard for anybody to be on my level mentally, because I always think outside the box and that's why I'm always doing record breaking numbers, that's why I was able to go out and take chances, to become a household name, to become a pay-per-view star, to become a mega-superstar, to have the biggest deal in sports history."
