Martin Murray: I'm Better Than Martinez, I'll Beat Him

British middleweight Martin Murray believes he can topple "the most powerful man in the division" when he faces WBC champion Sergio Martinez in Buenos Aires.

Murray will get a second crack at becoming a world champion on April 27 next year at a venue yet to be announced, with Velez Sarsfield's football stadium a strong contender to stage the contest.

The 30-year-old from St Helens fell just short in his bid to take the WBA title from Felix Sturm last year, drawing against the German in Mannheim; it is the only fight he has not won in his 26-fight career as a professional.

"He began at the bottom and today he's the most powerful in the division. But I'm better and can beat him," said Murray at a press conference to promote the fight in Argentina. "It will be a great opportunity for me to show the world who I am."

Has self-confidence. Won't help when Maravilla is knocking him out.

even if he´d win(probability= 0) he wouldn´t leave the stadium alive(probability= 1)

Maybe he should have said, "I'm coming to Argentina, to get my A$$ Kicked" That wouldn't be a way to sell out the Futbal Stadium. now would it??? The Cat knows how to promote a Fight....Let's see what he says…

Another British getting slaughtered by the Argentinian. Martin Murray: a domestic level fighter with 42% KO-ratio is hardly a threat to anybody.
