IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs) has squashed any talk that he's done with the 147 division.

Brook is moving up by two weight divisions and thirteen pounds to face IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin on September 10th at at the O2 Arena in London.

Brook recently weighed 176-pounds at the WBC's 30-day weight check. That's nearly 30-pounds above his normal fighting weight. The high amount of weight has made many assume that he's not coming back to the welterweight division after his next fight.

Brook now has a mandatory challenger at welterweight, after Errol Spence (21-0, 18 KOs) blasted out Leonard Bundu in six rounds on Sunday in Coney Island, Brooklyn.

As BoxingScene.com reported on Monday, the IBF will apply pressure for Brook to make his mandatory defense against Spence - once the British fighter is done with the showdown with Golovkin.

"I think I will defend my title again but it all depends on what is the biggest fight out there for me," Brook told Nick Parkinson. "I'm not going back just to fight anyone, I want to fight people the fans are excited about.

"I want to be in huge fights. I've become world champion and now I get excited by fighting the best out there, so I will only go the weight where the big fights are. Errol Spence would be a big fight and he's tipped to do great things. There would be big interest in me fighting him in the US and he's my mandatory so that's a fight that could happen. If people want to see that fight, I will do it."

After knocking Bundu out, Spence demanded a fight with Brook as soon as possible.

"I want a shot at Kell Brook as soon as he's done with Triple-G," Spence said. "If he's not going to fight me then he needs to vacate and I'll fight somebody else. I definitely want that IBF title shot this year."
