Kell Brook was a telephone guest on Barkery Jammeh's Main Event radio show on Monday, and the Sheffield-based stylist used the interview to reveal that his contract with promoter Frank Warren has expired. Brook says he is ready to speak to Warren and other promoters about his next career move.  Brook fought 3 times last year, with wins over Krzysztof Bienias, Michael Jennings and Philip Kotey respectively, yet is frustrated over a lack of 2011 action, pointing out that he has nothing in the pipeline at the moment.

Brook stated that his current deal with Warren's promotional company has expired and that he is going to talk to promoters ahead of his next move, presumably with Warren his first port of call ahead of exploring other options.  The 23-0 (16) boxer is currently ranked at number one by the WBO but has yet to hear anything concrete about a title shot, Manny Pacquiao is the current WBO 'super' champion, Mike Jones occupies second spot; the 24-year-old revealed that he is still waiting on news of an elimination fight against Jones.

'Ezekiel' is in a packed division, he defended his British welterweight belt four times and is the WBO Inter-Continental holder.  Brook, though, looks a real prospect, he has that rare mix of boxing ability and power, he could make an impression on the world scene if the Jones fight comes to fruition.
