Ireland’s Jason Quigley was able to survive the late surge and four knockdowns to make it to the bell, albeit in a lopsided defeat. Berlanga went the distance for the fifth straight time but walked away with a landside unanimous decision victory.

Edgar Berlanga, Jason Quigley Make Weight, Exchange Words Ahead Of DAZN Main Event
Edgar Berlanga and Jason Quigley enjoyed one more intense staredown before they meet in the ring this weekend. Both boxers were under the 168-pound super middleweight for their scheduled 12-round main event this Saturday at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City. Brooklyn’s Berlanga officially weighed 167.8 pounds during Friday’s official pre-fight weigh-in under the supervision of the New York State Athletic Commission. Ireland’s Quigley was 167.6 pounds for their regional title fight which will top a DAZN show (Saturday, 8:00 p.m. ET).
