Although Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has claimed that he will retire after his May 5 bout with Oscar De La Hoya, the UK Sunday Mirror reports that Mayweather will be scouting Ricky Hatton when he meets Juan Urango on January 20 in Las Vegas.

Mayweather says that he wants to be ringside at Hatton's next fight in order to make up his mind on whether or not he wants to meet him in a future bout.

"I'm looking forward to getting an up close and personal look at Hatton so that I can make my mind up," said Mayweather

Hatton is making his return to the junior welterweight limit of 140-pounds, while Mayweather is moving up to the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds. The two fighters would likely meet at the welterweight limit of 147-pounds.
