Accomplished heavyweight amateur sensation Hughie Fury has joined his cousin Tyson in the professional ranks.  Hughie, an Amateur Youth World Championship winner in 2012, has signed with Hennessy Sports and will be trained by his father Peter Fury, who also trains Tyson.

"He’s been boxing since he was 11, he’s a Junior ABA winner and I’m proud of him, I’m proud of all my lads," said Peter Fury when speaking to BoxingScene about his growing stable.  "I’m with them 24/7 and you get what you put in.  I want to take my nephew to a world title, but I want him to defend it and go into the Hall of Fame, along with my son.  I want to put our name there forever because these lads put their lives into boxing.  That’s the passion we have for boxing.  We’re from Irish descendents, we’re from boxers and we want to get to world titles."

Tyson takes on Steve "SS" Cunningham at Atlantic's Boardwalk Hall venue on April 20th; the 20-0 (14) contender is putting the Fury name up in lights, and Hughie could soon join him at the top table if he brings his amateur form over to the pros.
