Russian promoter Vladimir "красивый" Hryunov plans to have a meeting next month with UFC President Dana White to discuss the possibility of a cross-sports fight between 44-year-old former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. (57-8, 40KOs) and 30-year-old former MMA champion Nick Diaz (26-9).

Jones was looking to face former UFC champion Anderson Silva (33-6 in MMA, 16-2 in the UFC). And Hryunov was focused to stage the fight in Moscow, Russia as the main event of a huge UFC event.

On Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Silva was stopped in the second round by Chris Weidman (11-0). During the fight, Silva badly broke his left shin and the serious injury will keep him out of action for a long time.

Jones approached White, during Saturday's UFC card, and discussed the idea of a fight with Diaz.

"We witnessed that Silva got a serious injury, so we can't even discuss a fight between him and Roy Jones. I have spoken to Roy himself, and we are going look for someone else. I think that a meeting with White will be held in January, and we will hold a UFC event in Russia in the coming year," Hryunov said.
