For several months, WBA/IBO/WBA-interim middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (32-0, 29KOs) has discussed the idea of moving down in weight to 154-pounds for a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs), who holds the WBC/WBA junior middleweight titles at the weight.

"He would love to fight the Lee-Quillin winner because he wants to unify the world titles. He's mandatory challenger for Miguel Cotto but I don't think that fight will happen soon. Floyd Mayweather is not a realistic option for Gennady - it's just a fantasy. It's beyond our scope of opponents because of a number of issues," Hermann told writer Nick Parkinson.
