Oleg Hermann, manager of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (30-0, 27KOs), has no problem with having his team sit down to discuss the possibility of fighting boxers under the banner of Golden Boy Promotions.

Golovkin fights exclusively on HBO and Golden Boy boxers have been primarily featured on Showtime, but now there are positive signs that a relationship between HBO and Golden Boy will be reestablished.

One of the boxers under Golden Boy, who Golovkin has been pushing to face, is WBO champion Peter Quillin (31-0, 22KOs). Quillin is tentatively set to face mandatory challenger Matt Korobov (24-0, 14KOs) on November 8th.

Hermann is tired of hearing Quillin's "excuses" on why a fight can't happen and hopes Korobov knocks him off.

"Definitely, we would consider fighting boxers from Golden Boy and we want to make a fight with Canelo or Quillin. I even think the fight with Canelo will be much easier to organize than a fight with Cotto, as I am sure that the Puerto Rican's team will begin to make demands that are unacceptable to our side," Hermann said.

"As for Peter Quillin, it will be interesting to hear what he will come up with as his new excuses to avoid a fight with Gennady - if the relationship between Golden Boy and HBO improves. I very much hope that the fight between Matvey Korobov and Quillin will be held, and Matt takes away his WBO belt. The time has long passed to change this champion."
