Gennady "GGG" Golovkin has never attended a professional football game or visited the state of Texas but that will change this weekend as he's a special guest of Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, as they face the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
"We're excited about going to the Cowboys game. Jerry invited Gennady. Gennady just came back from China, the WBC Convention where he was a special guest to speak on behalf of the champions and we saw that he had tons of fans in China the way people were asking for his photograph and autographs," said Tom Loeffler ,the managing director of K2 Promotions, who will be accompanying Golovkin to Texas with trainer Abel Sanchez.
And as they say in Texas, they will be talking some bid-ness. Jones and his billion dollar facility is no stranger to boxing having hosted a pair of Manny Pacquiao fights in 2010.
"Now a couple of days, later Gennady is flying to what will be his first trip to Texas and he's honored to go to the game and meet Mr. Jones and also naturally Texas would be a great destination for a future fight of Gennady's," said Loeffler, who has also scheduled press gatherings for 'GGG' in Dallas and San Antonio on Monday.
