WBA interim-super featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (22-0, 16KOs) is going to make the jump to the lightweight division in his next fight. The Olympic gold medal winner has his radar set on WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner (26-0, 22KOs). While Gamboa is going to 135, BoxingScene.com had a recent report that Broner is considering a two division jump to the welterweight ranks, where he possibly would face WBA champion Paulie Malignaggi.
"I'm going to move up, there is no question. I want that fight [with Adrien Broner]. I don't think he wants to fight me, but I'm ready to fight him. He can say whatever he wants, I know that I'm better than him and that I can win," Gamboa stated.
