Lomachenko will always be a above average champion because of Salido

Takes too long to let his hands go and is too concerned with his fancy footwork
Thats why he lost to salido

He will never be great cuz he lost to that guy
    Salido out of all people

Lomachenko is good, possibly great but since he is with Top Rank he will fight Crawford in the future and he will get put to sleep by Crawford

come on bruh Pacquiao lost to a couple of Filipino school bus drivers and still went on to become one an ATG

you can still lose a fight here or there and be great...takes a special fighter though, as most will never get back over that hump

      but Loma is special

you don't school Gary Russel Jr. or make frigging Nicholas Walters just quit halfway through a fight unless you're special

The guy lost a SD to a champion in his second career fight and went on to accomplish more in 8 fights than most do in their whole career.

"too concerned with fancy footwork" What? Fighting begins at the feet, something a lost of pros forget. Dude is really good. But we're really quick to anoint a guy as truly special or hall of fame caliber talent or whatever, but all its takes is one lost, one punch. Yall talking about moving this guy up in weight already? He's good but weight trumps skills at a certain point.

Salido is a beast...Lomachenko has all the experience in the world and he still hadn't seen anything quite like it. Salido definitely had a big weight advantage. I don't get all the complains about his fouls because a lot of that was Loma's own fault.(the way he defends makes him vulnerable to low blows....i-e pulling the head down, moving his body up and down a lot.....someone like Salido is not gonna modify the trajectory of his punch just to avoid hitting you low if he threw it when you were low and moved up). Loma is better for that experience. He will be very hard to beat, and he has really seen everything now. His lack of power will hold him back a bit but there are not many guys who have the will to take the fight to a guy like Loma. Salido is a throwback.

So Hopkins never became great because he had a draw with Segundo Mercado and lost his first pro fight and Alexis Arguello never became great because he lost to 7-6 Jorge Reyes and the hundreds of GREAT fighters were never great because they lost to MUCH lessor fighters than Salido later in their careers, right??????? We need to build an award of the year list for the most ******ed threads cause this one sits at the pinnacle.

Ali will never amount to **** after struggling with LHW Doug Jones

Joe Louis will always be below par after being Ko'd by shot Max Schmeling

Whats the point of Pac even fighting after he was KO'd by Torrecampo?

News Flash. Fighters learn as their careers progress. Ok Lomachenko had a longer am career and was older than these other guys, but it was also only his 2nd pro fight.
