  • Comments Thread For: Kell Brook Turns Back on Khan: He's Gone For 2015

Kell Brook has ruled out a fight with British rival Amir Khan this year as he focuses on chasing the winner of Floyd Mayweather's super-fight with Manny Pacquiao.

Connections of Brook, who makes the first defence of his IBF welterweight title against Jo Jo Dan in Sheffield on Saturday, had been in preliminary talks over a summer bout with the Bolton star.

But now Brook insists Khan is not on his immediate agenda and instead he aims to head to Las Vegas in May to pursue more high-profile possibilities.

If Brook really wants Floyd he should fight Khan at Wembly. He wins that fight in front of 70,000 he could get a shot.

that's what he wanted initially but khan fobbed him off to chase mayweather instead. now brook is giving him a taste of his own medicine. it would be karmic justice if brook got mayweather or pacquiao before khan did

Khan isn't a good fighter but man, he gets ducked by some big names. First Bradley and this guy thinking he has a chance at getting the Floyd/Manny winner for beating Porter lol. It actually sounds about right for a Floyd opponent though, I'm assuming Porter took Berto's spot in the Floyd sweepstakes.

Why and what for? Khan doesn't have anything that would "capapult" brook into a fight with floyd. Especially if brook has the IBF title and floyd beats pacquaio floyd would fight brook imo to be undisputed champ at ww.

Khan is a complete and utter idiot of the highest degree. He could fight kell brook and get a career high payday, and the winner of pacquiao mayweather would almost have no choice but to fight the winner of that. Why would either of them fight khan over kell brook when khan doesn't even bring a title to the table. This is especially true for Manny pacquiao who fights twice a year in china where he doesn't need to fight a huge name because of the huge site fee bob arum makes. In addition, khan would stand to make substantially more money by having the last belt going to the negotiating table. Khan must be running scared. He probably couldn't handle losing such a huge fight in his country

What fighter has ducked Khan? Bradley didn't duck Khan. He had the option to fight Manny instead of Khan, so why would he take Khan? I'm guessing if he would have taken the Khan fight, people would say he ducked Manny! Who else has turned down a fight with Khan? The rematch with Peterson was set until the whole drug testing thing came about. He could have rematche Garcia but Khan wanted the lion share of the money. Who has ducked Khan?
