Watching PR fighters in these last few years,

and the way they get knocked down, and respond,

shows how truly great a fighter Tito was. It also shows how underrated his chin was. Yes, he got knocked down many times, but rarely, if ever, did you see him actually hurt from those knockdowns. It was as if a knockdown, gave him more power as he went after his opponent with even more ferocity.

I don't see that in rican fighters today. Its like they get hit with a couple of good punches, and they mentally fold and get extra sloppy.

Dude, that happens with most of the boxers today. They get too spoiled. A lot of what they make now in a couple fights is what greats did in their whole career. When you're hungry, there isn't much to stop you.

            Not to mention the title.

              That was nice,

but he doesn't have that type of chin to be doing that.

Tito, with all of his knockdowns, didn't either.

But he made adjustments and prevailed.

Thats what I'm getting at. We seen it last night, we seen it with Cotto, and we seen it with Calderon. They never made the necessary adjustments mid fight to take the control back like Tito did.

                Not to mention the title.

Considering its a thread about how Tito Trinidad overcame hard shots and knockdowns, and how he was the last truly special Puerto Rican fighter,

why would this thread be about other nationalities?

Btw, the thread title is this,

"Watching PR fighters in these last few years".

Again, this thread is about Felix, and his greatness and how those that have tried to follow in his footsteps, don't have that quality in them to be put on the same level as he. If you might be slow, this thread is a comparison about Puerto Rican fighters and how they stack up against Puerto Ricos best fighter ever.

                  I noticed that.

Thats why I said only ricans.

Only ricans appear to have this nationalistic trait. I feel you , you discovered it.
