Is Cleaning Up The Sport With OST...

...more important than boxing presenting PAC-PBF right now?

the public is demanding this fight and both sides have their reasons on why or why not there should be additional testing

so, would guys (fight fans) rather have a message be sent that boxing needs to be cleaned up and this fight get ditched (assuming they dont find a compromise) ?

    OR

do you guys believe that the best thing boxing can do for itself right now is make this fight happen?

The best thing is for this fight to happen and to drop this BS demands, its us as fight fans that have to be deprived because of egos...

        Great question Mak.

Ultimately I believe the sport needs PBF-Pac more than anything.

But I do wish for a comprimise. If Pac indeed would agree to a 14 day cutoff, I would be okay with that if they continue to test urine randomly and blood after the fight.

Watching 24/7 and seeing the testing made it much more real for fans, and I believe it will come into play. I think most people that watched would say that the testing did not seem to effect either fighter. I think Pac has to bend to at least 14 days to see this happen, I'm hoping he will. I'm hoping even more that he would just agree to the full OST and make the fight, but this seems to be a pissing match and I don't know if he will.

ALl this OST is bull**** .. they tried to control all this **** using floyd mayweather as a tool againts pacquiao..IMO i think there are some people behind it.They dont want to let pacquiao recorgnize to be best fighter in the world cuz he is not from USA unless with have called "NEW WORLD ORDER".I think from the very beggining we have this kind of bull**** regarding on where you from.I know floyd mayweather is a TOOL....FLOYD MAYWEATHER your a TOOL..

How can you say that? Ultimately I agree, the fight is more important. However, what is bad about OST? And why does it not matter?

theres nothing wrong with the OST demands, it has a good intention for the sport

              however,

OST is not yet required by NSAC so if fighters dont wanna go thru it, we cant blame them. by the time that ost is mandated by nsac then fighters refuse to do it, thats a different story

Honestly, we should be able to have both. Maybe now that Mayweather has a stronger hand in the negotiations Pac'll have to fold and agree to the request.

I'm all for the fight happening.

But there's no room for ost's in the sport. Not in this fight, or any fight for that matter.

The commissions are already in place for a reason.

Mayweather is just a fighter, he can't make his own rules just because he wants to sabotage the opponent.

I don't understand, if the NSAC rules found Fernando Vargas dirty after a fight, (hell even James Toney) then what's wrong with the drug testing rules that already in place?

                    Are they any less effective?
