  • How do i build my speed?

Hey, how do i build my speed? my speedball popped and i dont have a FTC ball yet, what should i do and how much of it

Shadow boxing, but with punching as fast as you can withouth sacrificing techinique.

If you hit the heavybag, again do it as fast as you can instead of trying to smash it hard and make a loud noise.

its all in your core. the first thing that contracts when you throw a punch is your core. build up your core and shadowbox a lot too because speed comes from also knowing what your doing without hesitation. Gotta build up that muscle memory. Youll increase in speed as your core gets stronger and your combination's become more natural. after youve build a good base in your core work on your shoulders, chest, tris, biceps. if you ever tried throwing nice hard stiff jabs for a whole round that your shoulder and bicep gets really tired as well as your tris. tris and chest will help shoot your punch out faster and your bicep will help bring it back faster too. they all work in sync through the whole movement so dont slack on any one area. goodluck.

Read somewhere before that a student of Bruce Lee once asked ''how can i punch faster?''. Bruce Lee replied ''punch faster..''

If you want to be quicker, then be quicker.

        Make sence?

haha good one, i think for the most part that is true, when you shadow box, just throw your combos faster, and the core plays a big role in power i don't know about speed though

i think speed is more about technique than anything

The "core" is comprised of your lower back, hip, and abdominal muscles. they form the basis for all movement whether it be upper or lower body. Have you never heard anyone talk about this before??? Bizaar
