people who justify fights over P4P ratings are ******..

Pound 4 Pound is all hypothetical. What would happen if both fighters where the same natural weight. Often Floyd boys hide behind it.. It certainly justified the fight with Hatton to them but to me it didn't. It also does not justify a fight between Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao. You wouldn't put Marquez to fight Hopkins would you? Shane Mosley and Miguel Cotto have no business fighting Marquez and Pacquiao. That **** would be some disgraceful ****.

agreed, I'm more interested in what people are doing in their division then on the pound for pound rankings.

I was going to discuss it in there but I felt like I was taking away from your topic which is about pound 4 pound ratings but not the same thing.

P4P has become a sacred thing in boxing. I consider it important. Sure I like watching good fights, and like what fighters do in their divisions, but the truth is fighters dont stay in their divisions anymore. I'd like to see a fighter dominate his division and defend his belts, but doing that now is considered to some "not taking risks." P4P has become important in boxing today and boxing history, if not, nobody would make a big deal about it. Wouldnt it be sad if no one had thought of the idea of Sugar Ray Robinson being the best P4P fighter in history?

I really don't care about it that much personally. Shane/Cotto shouldn't fight the winner of Pac-Hatton. Hatton and Manny are jr welterweights not 147 pounders.
