  • Pacquaio Is the TOP DOG in the sport... HE DESERVES 60-40. PBFvs.Hatton PBF got 70-30

    Great Arguments For Pacquaio.!!!

This match-up is the best thing to do right now for both fighters from a financial and career standpoint.
Pacquaio Made the Smartest Business Moved He could.

Pacquiao has earned the distinction of being the top dog in boxing at the moment and he deserves to be treated as such. Whether he actually gets the 60% he is asking for though is beyond me, but you really can’t blame a guy for playing the game smart- a game that also played him when he was nobody and was trying to come up. So IMO he deserves to ask for more. He earned it! It’s part of the game and now that he’s the top dog, he’s just playing the game smart.

Arum keeps telling us that Ricky got all the U.K. ppv sales but conveniently omits that Mayweather did the same for U.S. ppv sales.

Do you really think that Mayweather will allow Hatton to have a share in U.S. ppv if he doesn't get any in U.K.???

This is the same Mayweather who sat out 7 months because he thought a HBO contract seven-fight contract, worth $12 million was "slave wages compared to what Naseem Hamed was making.”

FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR vs. RICKY HATTON was a 70-30 Split For Mayweather.
    DATE: 12/8/07
    LOCATION:MGM
PROMOTIONS: Golden Boy, and Mayweather Pomotions
    PAID ATTENDANCE: 15,488
    GROSS SALES:$ 10,393,950.00
    • Mayweather was guaranteed $11 million
    • Hatton was guaranteed $6 million

    2. Hatton receives all the 1.25 million sale in U.K. pay per view at 20 euros a pop or $30 U.S.
    So that's about $37.5 million U.S. dollars.

    3. Mayweather receives all the U.S. pay per view revenue. According to Mark Taffet, U.S. ppv generated $47 million. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing ... id=3158134

Let's calculate, I don't know what the cable company split, promoter split, etc....on ppv sales.... so let's just add the total ppv revenues with the guaranteed money for both fighters.

    Mayweather: 11 million + 47 million = $58 million

    Hatton: 6 million + 37.5 million = $43.5 million

Schaeffer's argument. if Hatton was so big in England....how come his ppv buys against Malignagi was just 200,000. Again at $30 a pop.
he said that Hatton can pull in the U.K. ppv share....which is true if he's fighting a known opponent......Hatton went down from 1.25 million in U.K. pay per view sales against Mayweather to 200,000 against Malignagi. Manny generated 250,000 against Diaz. So clearly, Hatton needs a big name more than Manny

    Manny Pacquiao PPV History

    1. De La Hoya - 1.25 million buys
    2. Morales 1 - 350,000 buys
    3. Morales 2 - 360,000 buys
    4. Morales 3 - 350,000 buys
    5. Barrera 2 - 350,000 buys
    6. Marquez 2 - 400,000 buys
    7. Diaz - 200,000 buys

    Ricky Hatton P.P.V History
    1. Floyd Mayweather- 850,000 p.p.v (U.S) 1.25 Million P.P.V (U.K)
    2. Paulie Malignagi - 200,000 p.p.v (u.k)

Hatton vs Malignagi: 200,000 in U.K. for $30
Pacquiao vs Diaz: 250,000 in U.S. for $50

One reason why Manny wants 60/40 is because they're afraid Ricky can't carry the load. All Ricky will be doing is riding on Manny's back,
The last thing The American Pay Per View Audience Remember about Ricky Hatton is him getting Knock into a ring post by Mayweather.
So Ricky Hatton lucky to get 50% of the purse for doing nothing.

Manny built his empire in the US. He built it by beating Mexican and Mexican America boxers in Las Vegas,

Ricky built his empire in the UK. He basically stayed home and beat other boxers in his own turf.
    • How many ppv does Ricky have? 1 with Floyd?
    • How many ppv does Manny have? 8
    • How many fights did Ricky have in Las Vegas? 4
    • How many fights did Mnny have in Las Vegas? 8
    • How many fights did Ricky have in the US? 8
    • How many fights did Manny have in the US? 16
    • So who owns Las Vegas? Manny
    • So who owns the US ppv? Manny
    • So who is carrying the load in this fight? Manny

And Manny only gets 50%, but he is the p4p champion?

I am sorry but that is bull****.
Manny Pacquaio has ever right to take the lionshare of this fight.

HE IS THE TOP DOG OF THE SPORT.!!

                  I completly dissagree.

And me and you usaullly see eye to eye.

50/50 is fair....Hatton is the bigger draw...star and has the bigger fanbase...and is the champion at a weight class Pac wants to move up to and fight for his belt....and even Hatton didnt ask for more money.

Pac is really giving the sport a black eye....with this greedy non sense...like Pac-Hatton 2 wont sell..I mean cmon.

50/50 and they both strike gold....
