Floyd challenged judah which at the time was the ~WBC welterweight champion~ WBA welterweight champion ~ IBF welterweight champion ~Ring champion. They agreed to fight. Anyone that watches boxing and knows boxing knows that at the time zab judah was the most dangerious fighter in the division.
