What are Cotto's keys to victory against Mayweather

Lately, I've been hearing how Cotto is the man give Mayweather his first loss. I know he is an improving fighter as he continues his road to greatness. (Cotto) but I'm really having a hard time to put it together on how Cotto will beat Floyd.

Floyd has faced fighters like Cotto in the past ( Castillo, Chico, ect.) Floyd has shown that he can adapt to any type of style. (just my opinion)

Most posters on here are saying that Cotto will cut the ring off and work the body. That may be true, but you also have to consider once you go to the body you are open for a counter shot and Floyd is ONE of the best in the game. In Cotto's last two fights, he showed improvement but he also showed he is open to crosses and uppercuts ( Judah was finding his home with a straight left and a left uppercut. Shane also was finding his home with a right cross and a right uppercut)

Also you must into consideration that Floyd has stellar defense. His defense is a lot better than Mosley. The reason I bring up Mosley is because Mosley gave Cotto a very hard time in their fight. If Mosley had decent Defense, he could have pulled out a close UD or SD (just my opinion) Cotto was giving punishement and also was taking punishment.

With that being said I'm having a hard time seeing how Cotto will defeat Floyd. So can you guys please break down on how the fight with Cotto and Mayweather will play out.

All bull**** aside, I want true, logical posters to give a breif summary on how you see the fight playing out. PLEASE!

He has a very good snapping jab that would give Mayweather some problems if he decides to use it, and personally I think he should counterpunch Mayweather, instead of pressuring him along the ropes and risk getting countered himself, make Mayweather the aggressor.

I'm a Cotto fan and I would like to see him get a shot, he deserves it. But to answer your question he would lose to Mayweather but give him a tough fight at the same time.

Cotto has a better jab, and we know jabs win fights. Plus, he is definitely stronger. And his defense is better then what ppl give credit for.

I understand that Jabs wins fights but lets not forget Floyd can adapt to that type of style.( a constant jab) If I'm not mistakened Castillo had a decent Jab and got in pretty damn good on Mayweather but Floyd adapted and won the fight. He also packed a damn good punch (not trying to compare Castillo and Cotto's punching power.)

Let me ask you this then, What makes Cotto's jab so superior to any other jab that is in boxing. I know he is a lot stronger at 147 and I'm just trying to get different points of view of this fight. Please dont take as if I'm praising Mayweather but I just dont see how Cotto can win by just jabbing. Hey, I might be wrong but who knows. I just want to see this damn fight. I know many will agree that Cotto-Mayweather needs to happen.

There is no keys to victory for Cotto. His only chances are that Mayweather is rusty from inactivity when they finally meet. It's another Vargas Trinidad fight. IMO

He's a converted southpaw, his jab is snappier and more powerful than an orthodox fighters' jab.

Is it or me does Cotto look better fighting out of the southpaw stance?

I really appreciate yall summary on the fight. I dont understand why some of the guys who picked Cotto to beat Mayweather wont give a brief summary on how Cotto will beat Mayweather.

Come on Cotto fans, give a brief summary on the fight between Cotto and Mayweather!
