three times a week on the street and 1-2 times in the gym, but lately it is more vice versa since the weather is real ****e. I also go out to dance 2 times a week which is also a great cardio.
Edit: damn, I misread, I thought how often do you run.
I box 3-4 times a week and do weight training 3 times a week as well.Last edited by BrooklynBomber; 04-17-2007, 09:59 PM.

My experienced ams train anywhere from 6-12 times a week (3 times a day during training camps).
The newer guys start out at 3 times a week, and then we take it from there. If you're inexperienced, 3 times a week is enough to get you started. You need to build up your work capacity, and tolerance for intense training.
You don't jump in the deep end before you can swim either.

Well first off, I'm a university student, so nothing ever goes with my routine.
That being said, my "routine" is:
morning 30 min cardio, and some pushups, situps, and the like
then evening boxing gym for 2-3 hours
then "weight" training, for about 2 hours although not really in the conventional sense, basically just various fitness things, which change a lot.
Also, since my gym is only open in the mornings on saturday, on sat my routine is kinda different, so I don't do cardio in the mornings (sat morning), and lately, just not at all...
Takes me 45 min to get across town to my gym, so that sucks up a lot of time. Not suprisingly, that routine gets messed up a lot due to school, like now, during exam time...
And I guess I'm not an amateur either, I planning to be though, come september I'll be getting my membership, although honestly, I think I wanna train hard until the new year until I start competing.

So, your weekday routine is
30 min in the morning
2-3 hours boxing
2 hours weights
1½ hours of transportation for training
Total 6-7 hours a day
And you're in college?
