  • Comments Thread For: V. Klitschko Says He Will Likely Return, Haye Possible

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko has not ruled out fighting David Haye before he finally calls time on his illustrious boxing career.

The 42-year-old, who is considering a move into politics and running in the Ukrainian presidential election, has not fought for more than 12 months and any future bout would have to be sanctioned by the WBC.

Britain's Haye retired in October 2011 after a defeat by Klitschko's younger brother Wladimir, before reversing his decision in order to meet Dereck Chisora in July last year, and will take on Tyson Fury in Manchester at the end of September. Vitali's mandatory is Bermane Stiverne of Canada. [Click Here To Read More]

Vitali could of had the haye fight already but i think he should fight stiverne. he is waiting to see if haye gets past fury. If he does it will be haye i suspect for financial reasons but he doesn't want to retire on a loss so if haye blows fury out vitali may just fight stiverne instead. You know the "we see what WBC says" is bull**** because we all know he has jose on his xmas card list...

Ideally Vitali comes back in 2014 and fights his mandatory Stiverne, and if he wins, defend his title and fight for the last time late in the year against Haye and then hang em up and call it a career

Stiveren is not the kind of fight to go out on. Smash Hayes face, then vacate and retire. Beating Stivern does nothing for Vitali's legacy.
