Former champion Paul Spadafora (47-0-1, 19KOs) would love to get a fight with the current WBC lightweight king Adrien Broner (26-0, 22KOs). Spadafora, now a junior welterweight contender, was going to face Vernon Paris on an April date, but says the fight recently fell through because Paris is having some contractual issues.
Broner is looking to get a fight with WBO champion Ricky Burns. If that fight doesn't happen, Broner will head up to the junior welterweight division - and Spadafora would like to be the guy to test him at the weight.
