When he was 140 Valero was the WBC champ never happen. Since there was no Pac-Soto, or Valero fight, i remeber they started promoting a fight Soto-Valero. Then the Tradegy happened.

    Just my thoughts

Raheem was a good fighter but nothing special. He caught Morales flat and that fight didn't make anyone but hardcore contrarian fight fans care if they saw him again. It's like saying Tommy Hearns ducked Kirkland Laing.

        Raheem, Nate Campbell, Joan Guzman...YES!

        Soto and Valero...NO!

Never mind the idiots talking about "Raheem Was A Joke" we are talking about the fighters THEN, sure we can look at things AFTER THE FACT and say "Pacquiao would have beating this or that guy" but that is just a fans opinion, nobody knows how those fights would have went but those fighters had styles that Pacquiao would of had problems with FOR SURE!

The only fight that I truly believe Pac found a way around was Joan Guzman and Shane Mosley at the time Floyd fought him. He should have fought Zahir Raheem, but it didn't happen. Fights like Nate Campbell, Joel Casamayor, Andre Berto, they just didn't happen. They would have been better fights at certain times than other ones, but oh well.

Just like with Floyd. I think Antonio Margarito was the only fight Floyd found a way around, given Floyd was in line to fight De La Hoya. Fights like Tszyu, Johnston, and Williams just didn't happen.

Was Raheem ever seriously even offered to be turned down and 'ducked.' Critical question. Agree on Shane. he should have fought Mosley and then Cotto. Wouldn't have been hard to get the fight made. That was pure Bob silliness.

Pacquiao ducking Soto and Valero is a joke. Soto is a bus driver and Valero was green but showed how good he is against DeMarco for the first time, which he was very good and just not some power puncher with no skill. And Pacquiao vs Valero was actually getting built up by Bob Arum, while also Gamboa vs Lopez was getting built up. But you know Arum takes so long to make a damn fight happen, that a fighter literally died waiting for the fight[Valero RIP] and Lopez got his head almost knocked off twice by Salido.
Pac was definately ducking Soto if he really is a bus driver... Pac was knocked out by a cab driver named Torrecampo LOL!

Why is Pac ducked Raheem? Pac was scheduled to fight Morales next win or lose for the anticipated rematch.. After Pac demolished Morales the most next logical fight is Raheem who beat Morales but that bum lost to a shot Freitas. Pac finished his trilogy with Morales, Raheem was fighting bums then lost again to Funeka.

Soto. When Pac moved up to 126 in year 2003 and moved up again to 130 in year 2005-2007. Pac was beating back to back the likes of Barrera, Marquez, Morales and nobody knows who Soto is. Only after Soto beat Pacquaio's brother Bobby in June 2007 then the talk came out about the possible fight of the two to avenge the lost but most boxing fans didn't buy the idea by simply comparing Soto to < Morales, Barrera, Marquez. Soto lost to Guzman in November 2007 following the same year only made the matter worst. Then in year 2008 Pac moved up to 135 then at 140 while Soto remained at 130. Only the Floydiot will try to twist these facts and in the end will only prove themselves they really an idiot.
