  • Hand hurts after hitting the heavybag

I use handwraps and use Everlast 10oz training gloves. I can hit it mildly with snap and it doesn't hurt but when I throw a full force punch my wrist hurts and if I keep doing it, it hurts for like a week. What should I do?

make sure that when you punch the bag, you make a hard fist, as hard as u can. a relaxed hand gets injured. also, 10 oz is less padding, so i'd say getting some heavier gloves, but that's up to you.

You should train with at least 14oz minimum on the bag, also, you could try using a sponge or knuckle guard as well as your wraps but make sure your wraps secure your wrist well. You might also want to check your technique.

wrap your hands/wrists properly, use bigger gloves with more padding.

          Are you locking your wrist?

I never heard of anyone's wrist hurting just from hitting the bag unless their wrist is bending at contact.

Maybe try to not turn over your punch all the way. Keep it slightly angled. So when your punch lands, your hand is slanted. Just slightly though, not dramatic. Just a few notches from being horizontal.
