      Lol.

In all seriousness this was just a matter of time. It's hard to avoid the inevitable. Ward is very good, Chavez is not. Interesting that the ****tier guy actually challenged himself.

Nah, Ward would have been too easy. Chavez Jr. would have knocked Ward out en dos rounds.

someone dangerous enough for him to take the camp serious enough, yet a light enough touch to basically ensure the win.

quick glance down the names at 168/175, Rogelio "Porky" Medina would've been the perfect opponent for 172 (available for the fight timewise, comes to fight, has had prior TV exposure, is basically just below the top level, etc).

Ward and Chavez are polar opposites (aside from ruining their own careers).

Ward is an extremely good boxer with the fame and charisma pocket lint.

Chavez is a national celebrity with barely journeyman level boxing skills.

He should have honestly fought the biggest name available for the money and assumed he would lose. Should have fought Froch or GGG right out of the gate. Now he's begging his fringe name "warmup" for a pity rematch. He would have lost to all of them might as well cash in sooner.

Fighters take warm up fights to get back into shape and sharpen their skills. Chavez Jr does/has neither so makes no difference.

                  No.

"Easier" pretty much defines Chavez's entire career.
